Sarah Edmonds was elected to the FAB Board in October 2016. She is the Director of Quality and Standards for Active IQ and Responsible Officer.
Active IQ awards qualifications in the Active Leisure sector (from Fitness Instructor, through Personal Trainer, Exercise Referral (rehab), School Sports to Leadership and Management, plus generic Education and Training qualifications).
Sarah has been closely involved with FAB for several years, contributing to, and regularly attending several groups over this period.
Sarah is a passionate advocate for high quality educational experiences for all, and in this time of unprecedented change across the post-16 landscape she believes we need serious, balanced and informed voices to ensure government policy has as much input from FAB as possible into the decision-making process.
Separate to this, for several years Sarah has been a governor at her local large acute NHS Trust hospital (Portsmouth Hospitals Trust).
In 2015 she successfully gained a Masters Degree in Educational Assessment at the Institute of Education (UCL).
