David joined The Open University Business Development Unit (BDU) as the Head of Propositions in June 2016.
Joining The Open University from his position as the Director of Education and Talent at Global Knowledge (leaders in IT, best practice and business skills training) where he began in 2014, David co-founded the PDS apprenticeship business in 2005. Under David’s stewardship both PDS and Global Knowledge partnered with the OU to deliver apprenticeship programmes to several blue chip companies.
Previously, David has worked in both private and public sectors, including the NHS, Marks and Spencer and Orange. He is a product of work based learning himself, having completed an Electrical Engineering Apprenticeship, before moving into learning and development. David holds a Master’s Degree in Human Resource Management from the University of Salford.
