Summary of the role

NOCN is at the forefront of apprenticeship reforms including the introduction of the Apprenticeship Levy in the UK.  We work in partnership with employers, FE colleges, training providers and skills experts in Trailblazer groups to develop a range of standards and assessments for new apprenticeships. We are a Government-approved Apprenticeship Assessment Organisation for End Point Assessments of apprenticeships in our specialist sectors.


NOCN has been approved by the Skills Funding Agency to deliver End Point Assessments across a number of new Apprenticeship Standards and we are accepting applications from candidates to become End Point Assessors.

The Standards

The role of our End Point Assessors is to assess an apprentice’s competence and knowledge against the industry specific standards.


NOCN will provide training sessions for all our End Point Assessors through a variety of training methods such as webinars, briefings and updates which will ensure that they are kept up to date with qualification requirements and quality assurance procedures.

Role Requirements

To be considered, our End Point Assessors must have;

  • A thorough knowledge of their occupational area
  • Recent experience of their chosen occupational route which demonstrates industry competence
  • An assessor qualification (Level 3 Award in Assessing Competence in the Work Environment, Level 3 Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement, A1 or D32/D33).
Additional Requirements

Our End Point Assessors will have excellent communication, organisation and planning skills in addition to good IT skills and be competent working with online reports.

Ongoing maintenance of their own Continuing Professional Development (CPD) will be required so that NOCN are confident their competency is up to date, in line with qualification requirements.
