Summary of the role

The Chartered Management Institute is the only Chartered professional body in the UK dedicated to promoting excellence in management and leadership. We have more than 130,000 individual members and have been providing forward-thinking support on management and leadership for nearly 70 years.

We are currently seeking a seeking a Product Manager with responsibility for Assessment development to join our head office based in Corby, Northamptonshire. This newly created role comes at a time of growth for CMI and will support the business to develop innovative assessment solutions across our products. These solutions are crucial in establishing us as a leader in this area, in a period of rapid changes in the market and in technology.

Within this role you will help our partners bring their programmes “to life”, enabling them to differentiate their offer and deliver more impact.  

You will develop innovative assessment solutions for CMI’s qualifications, apprenticeships and Chartered Manager award, including digital solutions that have the ability to track learner progress and create reporting on key data. At all times you will ensure that assessment solutions are fully compliant and meet regulators’ requirements. You will develop, test and refine assessment propositions, project manage initiatives from inception through to launch, identify opportunities for new product development and lead on all communications around assessment propositions.

The successful candidate will hold a degree (or equivalent) and will have knowledge of assessment methodologies along with an understanding of qualifications and apprenticeship assessment. You should have proposition/ product development experience as well as a strategic understanding of the market place. You should also have operational planning skills and the ability to build strong working relationships.

It would be advantageous for you to have knowledge of management and leadership development although this is not essential. What is essential is the ability to build credibility and trust, keep abreast of the market and communicate effectively at all levels.
