Summary of the role

NOCN is seeking to recruit examiners to mark NOCN ESOL International papers. NOCN ESOL International examinations are held in the Summer and Winter terms, therefore examiners will be required in June and January/February.
You will need to be able to work to deadlines whilst maintaining the quality and accuracy of your work. You will also be an experienced ESOL teacher with a high level of subject knowledge and a full teaching qualification. All examiners and markers are required to examine all levels up to C2 CEFR.
The role of the examiner is to mark candidates’ responses in accordance with mark schemes. Access to a computer and an internet connection is necessary to be able to fulfil the requirements of the post. The post is home based and the scripts will be sent through the post for detailed paper marking, entry of the results will be via a designated website.
New examiners are fully supported with training and will need to attend a training session in order to be able to carry out this work.
