Summary of the role

The Pensions Management Institute is the largest and most recognised professional body for employee benefit and retirement savings professionals, is seeking for examination markers and assessors for its Certificate in Pension Scheme Member Guidance.

The Certificate in Pension Scheme Member Guidance is a Level 4 regulated qualification and is designed to meet the needs of pensions staff who regularly liaise with members selecting options from a pension scheme. Pensions staff will need to provide guidance to cover a variety of options and situations, which a member of a scheme may need information on, e.g. joining, leaving, transferring, retirement, or any other changes in circumstances with regards to their pension. It is assessed using a variety of method including a multiple-choice examination, completion of a case study and a telephone based oral assessment.

We would welcome interest from those keen to become an examiner/assessor at Level 4 or above. Ideally you will have a background as a pensions industry practitioner with 3 years or more experience and with skills/qualifications in training and assessment. You will be used to using different methods of assessment and be skilled at asking reflective questions to tease out information from learners.  You may have an appropriate teaching or academic qualification which would be considered an advantage.
