Home based with travel throughout Great Britain
We are looking for an experienced Quality Assurance professional with an engineering background to manage compliance and offer guidance and support to our Approved Centres.
You will be responsible for external quality assurance monitoring, moderation internally assessed learner work, setting Action Plans and providing support and guidance to maintain or improve the performance of the ECITB Awarding Organisation’s (AO) Approved Centres in line with ECTIB and regulatory requirements. You will also be responsible for maintaining the assessment standards of ECITB regulated qualifications and protect the integrity of qualification standards by identifying and managing any risk.
Educated to A level or HND or equivalent gained through similar qualifications or via experience, you should ideally hold the D32/D33, A1 unit or current assessor certificates, and either have or be prepared to work towards a current EQA qualification. You will most likely have firsthand experience of assessment practice within a regulated awarding organisation Approved Centre, an in-depth knowledge of National Occupational Standards and the vocational qualifications that are relevant to the engineering construction industry or a similar engineering sector
Working from home and travelling to various Approved Centres and worksites, you will be good at organising your time to meet deadlines. The relationship side of this job is key despite its technical content, as you will be influencing and guiding others. This role also requires good verbal and written communication skills and a good range of IT skills.
Some overseas travel may be required in the future. Full and current UK Driving Licence is required.
