We have an exciting new vacancy for a National Community Manager in the education sector...

Computing At School’s vision is that every school is able to provide every child with the opportunity to gain the knowledge and skills to thrive in the digital age. As the National Community Manager, you will be responsible for the management and delivery of the CAS local hub programme as part of the National Centre for Computing Education.

Key Responsibilities:
• Responsible for Computing At School Community of Practice programme, providing strategic guidance to ensure national coherence across regions;
• Identify priorities. develop strategy and create plans for the CAS Community of Practice programme that meet strategic objectives and key performance indicators;
• Develop plans for monitoring and managing the performance and efficiency of the programme;
• Manage budgets, ensuring that accurate and up to date reports are available for scrutiny by internal and external stakeholders;
• Provide regular performance reports and updates to share with internal and external stakeholders;

Who we are looking for:
Education & Qualifications
• Educated to degree level or equivalent
• Programme Management/ Project Management such as Prince2 or equivalent
• Demonstrable experience of the Computing Education landscape in the UK
• Proven experience of line managing and leading people
• Proven experience of managing and tracking budgets
• Proven experience of delivering successful outcomes and inspiring others
• Proven experience of working in schools and/or teaching experience is desirable
Competencies & skills
• Leadership – able to inspire and influence at all levels
• Proven track record of working cross functionally with colleagues across all levels
• Tenacity, professionalism and integrity as well as the drive and pragmatism to get things done
• Adept at managing complex internal and external stakeholder relationships

Special conditions
• Regular travel throughout the UK
• A full UK driving license
• Ability to work outside office hours/weekends/attend social or networking events or conferences
