Summary of the role

We are looking for an experienced professional to lead the delivery of our Awarding Organisation operations.  Reporting to the Head of Awarding Organisation, you will be responsible for ensuring customer service and daily awarding organisation activities comply with regulation and internal processes. 

You will play a key role in supporting the rollout of strategic objectives across the awarding organisation network and in supporting the external quality assurance function. 

This role fulfills an important technical function in the delivery of ECITB qualifications and services, and will contribute to the continuous improvement of services.

Qualified to degree level or equivalent in an engineering discipline, and with a background in an awarding, assessment or education environment or relevant experience in an engineering environment gained in a supervisory or lead role, you will have knowledge of engineering vocational qualifications and the standards that underpin them as well as knowledge of qualifications regulation, standards setting bodies and awarding organisation procedures, roles and requirements.  

Ideally, you also have experience in auditing learning and education systems. An internal/external quality assurance qualification is desirable but not essential as this will be afforded to the right applicant. 

You will need good analytical skills to handle the statistical and technical data, and an ability to write clear reports and procedures.

This role is home or office based with an element of nationwide travel to meet business needs.
