Summary of the role

The role 

As Quality Assurance Manager you will be responsible for the management of NCC Education’s academic quality assurance and qualification performance analysis activities to ensure Ofqual regulated awarding body status in England is maintained and enhanced and to ensure all requirements with all relevant regulatory bodies within and outside of the UK where we do business are met.

Our qualifications span primary school age through to Master’s degree in Business, Computing and English Language delivered by over 125 partner centres in more than 45 countries. The role will manage the accreditation and monitoring of our partner centres supporting their on-going compliance with NCC Education Academic Regulations and the requirements set out by their local Qualifications and Higher Education regulators.

You will manage our annual self-evaluation and internal operational auditing activities. The Quality Assurance function manages malpractice, maladministration investigations and review of results procedures and outcomes.

The candidate

You will ideally have extensive experience of managing quality assurance in the delivery of regulated qualifications and preparation for summative assessment and/or teaching programmes, ideally in a higher education context and in one or more of our subject areas; Business, Computing and English Language. Experience of working with the Ofqual Conditions of Recognition and/or the Higher Education Quality Assurance Agency framework are highly desirable.

The Quality Assurance Manager works largely autonomously with support from the Senior Quality Assurance Executive whom the role line manages and colleagues and contractors who are based in various locations (UK and overseas) and departments so a strong track record in effectively coordinating multiple projects and matrix management of people is essential.

The ability to work with large data sets, analysing statistical performance and extracting trends, writing complex reports and identifying development and action plans is also essential.

Experience of delivering training and professional development content to a range of stakeholders is desirable as this role also requires the ability to provide quality assurance briefings and risk management training to both internal and external customers.    

You may be working or have recently worked for a school, Further or Higher Education institution, Awarding Organisation, Training Provider or public sector education body or charity. Experience of working within a regulated environment is essential.

You will be self-motivated, with excellent inter-personal and communication skills, be dynamic, organised and passionate about education. You will be qualified to at least degree level.
