Summary of the role

NOCN is a leading awarding and assessment organisation. As part of its continuing expansion it requires the following to join the Assessment team:
  • Senior Assessment Executive (£32,960)
  • Assessment Executive (£26,780)

Reporting directly to the Head of Assessment, the roles will provide support, coordination, management, expertise and operational direction to ensure the delivery of NOCN’s qualification assessments, examinations and apprenticeship End Point Assessments, making sure these are fully compliant with UK and international regulations, in accordance with NOCN’s policies and procedures.

The Senior position will also involve more direct management and higher level involvement in the assessment develop process, with supervision of the Executive.

Both roles will involve the coordination, monitoring and refinement and reporting on procedures for assessments and examinations, assist in managing assessment resources including principal examiners, assessors, external verifiers and consultants. The senior role will operate at a suitable higher level.

Candidates should be suitably educated with the senior role at degree level or equivalent, with qualifications and experience in assessment, verification and quality assurance.

In addition, the senior role will be familiar with various assessment instruments and be aware of regulation issues in education, skills and apprenticeships. They will have excellent management and leadership skills, be analytical and precise and clearly communicate in person and in writing. Knowledge and experience of apprenticeships and apprenticeship assessment would be desirable. NOCN is a Leader in Diversity and welcomes applications from all members of the community.
