The Institute of the Motor Industry (IMI) was founded in 1920 and is a not-for-profit, Awarding Body, End Point Assessment Organisation and professional institute for individuals working in the motor industry and an authoritative source of retail industry information, standards, and qualifications. It is focused on developing and maintaining skilled and professional workforces.
Last year IMI had Turnover of £9.8m, Profit After Tax of £1.1m, membership of c. 40,000 and employed 111 staff many of whom are based at its Grade II listed, Hertfordshire Headquarters, ‘Fanshaws’.
I am the Chief Financial Officer and Executive Director on the Board, with 4 direct reports, leading a total headcount of c. 40, across Business Development and Sales, IT, HR & Facilities (including GrII listed Headquarters) and Finance.
I am considered to be a financially astute and results-driven business leader, with a track record of delivering business and membership growth and driving strategic change, underpinned by a career in highly commercially-focused roles in world class consultancy and investment banking organisations.
I bring with me practical and technical knowledge gained in CFO, Finance and Risk roles over the last 27 years, Awarding Body environment in the last 3 years and Qualified Chartered Accountant and MBA studies.
