Academy Training Course: Crisis Interview Training

December 1, 2020 @ 11:00 am 1:00 pm

The Federation of Awarding Bodies is running a series of four online training events on media skills between November 2020 to January 2021. The courses are being delivered by Aysha Iqbal, former reporter and newsreader for BBC spotlight and ITV South West. Aysha has over 16 years of media industry experience working in the British media and is a recipient of the prestigious a Sony Gold Award for her work on a Radio 1 documentary.

This training will cover what to do when a crisis strikes and you need to be able to react swiftly and communicate confidently, protecting your reputation and your business/organisation. With journalists clammering for information, how you manage the media in a crisis is critical and can have long term consequences. In this crisis interview training course you will learn:

  • What to do when a media crisis hits your organisation
  • The best way to respond to the media when a crisis strikes
  • How to handle tough interview questions from the media and use effective interview techniques to minimise the impact of negative bad news and protect your reputation.
  • I’ll train and coach you in tried and tested techniques that can be used in any crisis or serious circumstance
