Senior Project and Delivery Manager
The National Foundation for Educational Research (NFER) are recruiting for a Senior Project and Delivery Manager to assist in the management and delivery of the work, staff and development of key educational Research and Product Operations.
You don’t need to have worked in education previously, but you will have a strong eye for detail to really get into the different elements of projects and contracts, and understand all their different parts, as well as a passion for being hands-on in the delivery whilst devising, implementing, and keeping control of the overall objectives.
Some examples of these projects include:
- A high-profile government contract that involves liaising with primary schools and teachers across the UK to collect instrumental data to recognise the work schools do to improve outcomes for children through their formative educational years.
- Managing a project on behalf of the DfE who are conducting a trial measuring the impact of tutors on closing the post Covid educational gaps.
The Senior Project and Delivery Manager will be able to think on their feet to problem solve to meet strict timescales and budgets whilst still maintaining high standards and levels of detail.
You will have strong communication skills to understand and work with clients, and high profile internal and external stakeholders, whilst also building strong relationships with colleagues internally to manage project teams in a matrix style approach and liaising with external organisations such as schools, teachers, suppliers, and associates across the UK.
Having a can-do attitude will be a true advantage in this role, you will need to be just as comfortable in collecting data from schools and checking that it is providing the information needed as you will be in devising project plans to organise the large scale distribution and logistics of assessment and research materials to trial participants.
The role will start with you taking part in existing projects to get to grips with the systems and processes but soon you will be allocated a team to line manage and act as the key point of contact for matrix team members across the organisation.
The Senior Project and Delivery Manager can be based from home, but you will be expected in the office at least once a week plus additional times for key meetings and project events.
This is an incredible opportunity to take the lead on a number of high impact projects which will play a key role in improving educational outcomes for young people, so if you are interested in discussing more details, or know someone who could be, then please get in touch today for more details and how to apply.
