Letter to Sally Collier, Ofqual’s Chief Regulator

Our Chief Executive, Tom Bewick, has written to Ofqual’s Chief Regulator, Sally Collier. The letter emphasises our desire to ensure that standards are maintained as far as possible, and highlights the financial and resourcing implications for awarding organisations in delivering estimated and adapted assessment for this summer’s cohort.

The letter responds to the proposed arrangements for assessing and awarding vocational and technical qualifications in England, as formally announced by Ofqual today (9 April). This follows a Direction issued by the Secretary of State for Education, Gavin Williamson.
