Supporting the skills system through coronavirus

Our Chief Executive, Tom Bewick, has published an article in the TES calling for the Department for Education and the Treasury to put measures in place to ensure that the post-16 skills system survives the current coronavirus crisis. Tom argues that ESFA should extend a ‘credit line’ for the entire eco-system (including providers, awarding organisations and end point assessment organisations) for the next twelve weeks, based on the apprenticeship activity that would have taken place if the national emergency had not been declared.
